Natural foods are those foods which are minimally processed and are free of synthetic preservation, artificial color, and flavor.  Natural foods have always been known to have protected your health. So, Today I am here to suggest some ‘natural foods’ that can protect you from various kinds of diseases and help to stay healthy.

Vegetables:

Green leafy vegetables are rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals, plant chemicals all which keeps your health good and fit.   They are low in calorie, so no risk with weight too.  They are also low in sugar, so they prevent diabetes.    Some of them are kale, collards, green beans, tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, Swiss chard, spinach, squash, sweet potato Broccoli, Romaine lettuce, cabbage, Asparagus.  Romaine lettuce is said to be the healthiest among all.  Juices of many vegetables are also good for health.   One of two teaspoons added to buttermilk is very effective in treating nausea and dysentery.  Dry coriander treats diarrhea.  Also women with heavy menstrual flow benefit from these.

Fruits:

Fruits are another food for good health.  Some good fruits are kiwi, apple, strawberry, orange, watermelon, guava and papaya. Kiwi contains potassium, magnesium, vitamin E and fiber. Apple has low vitamin C, but it is high in antioxidants and Flavonoids to lower the risk of colon cancer, heart attack, and stroke.  Orange keeps colds away, keeps cholesterol low and also helps to cure kidney stones.

Dry fruits:

Apart from vegetables and fruits, even organic dry fruits play a vital role in health protection, like salmon, walnut, acai berries.  Organic dried fruits are grown and dried without the use of chemical pesticides or petroleum-based fertilizers.  They are loaded with vitamins and nutrients and free of additives commonly found in non-organic dried fruits.  Dried fruits can be consumed as snack or added to your usual meals.  Dried fruit is easy healthy snack which can be packed and carried to school or at work place and enjoyed during breaks.
